More faking it

You’ve started to learn Finger-Testing, you know how it works, and you understand its limitations. However, your body probably can’t do it by instinct yet. So in this chapter, you will practice it with me again.

The hottest place

Please do the following exercise along with me.

Follow along

Make an Okay sign with one hand, and put your opposing thumb inside it.

We will not let our thumbs escape on the wrong answers, but we will deliberately allow them to escape on the correct answer.

The question we’ll ask is: “Reveal which is the hottest place: Picture 1, Picture 2, Picture 3.” You will deliberately let your thumb escape on the fireplace, picture 3.

Follow along with me:

“Reveal which is the hottest place...”

Do it again

Repeat it. Remember, you will deliberately make your body answer correctly.

“Reveal which is the hottest place...”

The sweetest-tasting food

Are you getting it?

Do you feel that your mind is starting to ‘get it’? Don’t worry if you don’t. It just takes practice.

By doing these exercises, you are training your body and mind, showing it how you want Finger-Testing to work. With enough practice, your body will be able to do it instinctively, unconsciously, and automatically. In the next chapter, I will show you how to tell if you have indeed ‘got it’ yet.

If you haven’t ‘got it’ yet, just repeat this chapter, chapter 1.3, and chapter 1.4 until you suspect that you are ready.

Chapter review

  • Everyone can ‘get it’ with enough practice.
  • Repeat this chapter, plus chapters 1.3 and 1.4 until you ‘get it’.
  • The next chapter shows you how you can tell whether you’ve ‘got it’ or not.
